John Isner defeated Roger Federer 4-6 6-3 7-6(4) 6-2 in the Davis Cup World Group 1st Round Play-Offs It was not that Roger had an underwhelming performance, but I felt that there was something off in the match today. John Isner said himself that this was probably the biggest win of his career and he thought he played very well today, and I have to agree with him. USA now leads the tie 2-0, tomorrow we have doubles where Roger Federer/Stanislas Wawrinka will play Mike Bryan/Ryan Harrison, and the following day is reverse singles. Switzerland has to win all of their matches to go through now. I really hope they can do it. I can’t wrap my head around what just happened.
